The Fifth Country Programme for Children (CPC
VI) is
the program of cooperation between UNICEF and the Government
of the Philippines to promote the survival, development and participation
of children. It aims to strengthen national and local governments'
capability to implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child
and contribute to massive mobilization in support of Child Friendly
Movement at all administrative levels, local communities and
within the family. One of its component programs is health and
nutrition which aims to enable families and communities improve
the survival and development of children as well as women.
