DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
Development prospects for the next reporting period would most
likely be affected by the following developments:
-
concerted
efforts among government agencies to counter the impact of El
Nino, particularly its detrimental effect to the agriculture
sector in the Bicol region;
-
intensified
pre-election activities, which could as well serve to help
increase the creation of more jobs; and
-
the
sustained growth of tourist arrivals in the region with the
onset of the summer season.
