REVENUE GENERATION
The
province of Camarines Sur was awarded the honor for the Best
Economic Enterprise by Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) for
“achieving the highest revenue as an economic enterprise with a
collection efficiency of 137 percent for CY 2009.
Camarines
Sur has risen from being the 39th
poorest province to become the 10th
richest province in the country in terms of net income. The
province’s phenomenal rise was due largely to investments in tourism
development and information technology ventures geared at generating
the much needed revenues and creating opportunities to improve the
quality of life of the people.
