With the onset of Christmas season, it is expected that
activities in trade and services will increase. Consumer
spending will rise as there will be more money in circulation
with people receiving their Christmas bonuses and other year-end
benefits. A tandem activity of the DTI and DOT will be conducted
in October, the Orgullo kan Bicol and Magayon Festival, which is
expected to generate domestic sales for the micro, small and
medium enterprises in Bicol.
The RORO service between
the Ports of Aroroy, Masbate and Pio Duran, Albay and the daily
trips between Pioduran to Claveria, Masbate and vice versa will
improve access to Cebu City.
The CAAP expects an
increase in the volume of passengers during the months of
November and December for the celebration of Undas and Christmas
Season.
The DTI Sorsogon provincial office shall conduct investment
promotion activities, i.e. Kasanggayahan Trade and Tourism,
business to business market encounter, business forum on
agri-tourism and business processing and licensing system
(BPLS).
