A total of P1.5 Billion worth of investments in finance, insurance, real estate and business services, and wholesale and retail trade were generated from business name registration and DTI-initiated investment fora. New investments employed a total of 13,288 persons.

Camarines Sur led in investment generation with 58 percent share of the regional total. Five new agribusiness, wholesale and retail trade, and tourism service enterprises started operating in Camarines Norte.

There was a total of P44.6 million new investments in the form of paid up capital of registered stock and non-stock corporations, and partnership.

The business sector pushed for the rehabilitation of the PNR during the South Luzon area business conference (SOLABC).

An eco-friendly regional fashion designers competition dubbed as “Expo Fantasies in Fashion was held in Naga City. This joint project of Naga and DTI Cam Sur provincial office featured creations made out of water lily fabrics and other local raw materials. These are water lilies harvested from the Naga River. This event is an opportunity to spur new business opportunity out of  the  need  to rid the  Naga River of excessive  growth  of  water lilies which hamper the  habitat of fish and aquatic resources in the river.
