Cebu Pacific started its Manila-Virac and Cebu-Legazpi services
on 14 February 2009 using its brand new ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The new services will fly four times weekly, every Tuesday,
Saturday and Sunday. Expansion of its domestic network is seen
to help boost development and lead to mopre vibrant tourism and
business activities in the region.
Ower Andal, general manager of the PNR, arrived in Naga City to
officially declare the start of the rehabilitation of the
Central Station located in Tabuco, Naga City, which would cost
P24 million, including the construction of new building,
perimeter development and beautification. The railway lines from
Naga to Metro Manila, stretching 377.57 km., that will be
totally rehabilitated and that they are now fast-tracking the
work in time for the Peņafrancia Fiesta in September, this year.
