| | Topography |
Its
terrain is longly flat with slight slope towards the lake. On the way
of the lake extending unitl the coast of Burais Pass, the terrain is
highly and rugged with slope. |

It has a
tropical climate with relatively high humidity and constant temperature
throughout the year. The municipality belong to Type II, weather
conditions from July to December is considered rainy months. |

the months June and September southeast monsoons prevails while
northeast monsoon prevails during the month of October to March. |
Geology/
Soil Classification |
The low
lying area is alluvial on its western mountainous region which is
connected to the Ragay hill chain and faulted sedimentary formation of
limestone, sillstone, sandstone, conglominate and shale are found their
deposit near Balata. |

Products |
The municipality
has been known for its famous Lake Bato, a shallow source shaped
natural lake with drainage area of 874 square kilometers. Water surface
fluctuations the wet and dry season. There are 16 species caught in the lake which
are utilized as major food of source of income of the local inhabitants.

are about 143 commercial establishments located within the
municipality. These includes sari-sari stores, agricultural supply,
appliance service centers, auto repair shops, cable network, funeral
parlor, gasoline station, bakery, drug store, vulcanizing shop, gravel
and sand, snack house and catering services, videoke bars, jewelry and
repair shops, meat stands, vegetables stands, fruit stands, kiskisan,
pub house, coco lumber dealer, boutique, nipa dealer, cockpit arena,
refrigeration and air condition service, lending investment service,
memorial park, construction business/materials and supply, and printing
press. By type of commercial establishment, there are 96 commercial
establishments engaged in retail trade, 46 commercial establishments
engaged in services, only one commercial establishment engaged in real
estate and only 1 in banking and finance.
Trade
activities of the Poblacion and rural barangays are mostly external
brought about by isolation of some of those barangays. Thus, the
adjacent municipality off Nabua, Iriga City, as well as Polangui and
Libon serves as influence area for trade and commerce between the
Poblacion and adjacent cluster barangays and isolated cluster of rural
barangays. |
