Project Brief:
The proposed CBD II
project will be strategically located adjacent the Central Terminal at
Barangay San Roque, Iriga City. It has an area of 4.8 hectares. The
project covers the development of commercial buildings in the area
Generally, the
project aims to improve and expand urban economic facilities and
services pursuant to the city’s role in regional development as defined
in the regional urban hierarchy system.
The following
strategies will be adopted in the implementation of the project:

Construction of commercial building by the city to pump prime and/
or ignite further commercial activities by the private sector.

Negotiate land acquisition either thru donation, joint venture
scheme, land swapping and direct purchase.

Develop access roads.

Provide incentives to investors
-
Conduct investment promotion activities targeting local domestic and
foreign investors to locate in the city.

Project Title: IRIGA CITY
CIRCUMFERENTIAL ROAD

Jose, Francia, San Francisco, San Miguel, San Juan,

Project Brief:
The proposed Iriga
City Circumferential Road will cover an approximate length of 5.0
km. passing San Roque, San Jose, Francia, San Francisco, San Miguel &
San Juan. The road will serve as a diversion, re-routing of buses,
trucks and other vehicle bound for Metro Manila and vice-versa.
Generally, it aims
to provide a city and national road, thereby promoting socio-economic
development of the area.
Specifically, it
aims to:

Effect the traffic congestion of
the City of Iriga

Provides convenient route
access for the people especially travellers, traders/Businessmen and
student.

Enhance tourism activities in
Iriga City and adjacent areas
The City Government
of Iriga through the City Planning Office and the City Engineer’s
Office prepared the required program of work, cost estimates,
specification, location plan and road plan for possible funding.

Title: CONSTRUCTION OF STEEL TRUSS BRIDGE
Location: San Antonio,
Iriga City-Salvacion,Polangui, Albay

Project Brief:
The proposed
construction is an 11.0 meter bridge with a net length of 60 ln.m. made
up of concrete and steel connecting San Antonio, Iriga City and
Salvacion Polangui, Albay.

Project Title: ESTABLISHMENT OF
TECHNOLOGY & LIVELIHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (TLDC)
Location: San Francisco,
Iriga City
Project Proponent: City
Government of Iriga in coordination with the Technology & Livelihood
Development Center (TLRC)
Project Brief:
The Establishment of
a Technology and Livelihood Development Center(TLDC) to be situated at
Barangay San Francisco, Iriga City will consist of construction of the
TLDC building & provide the necessary facilities, furniture, fixtures
and equipment that will serve as its Program Office, Training Center,
Technobank and Electronic Library. It is envisioned to provide
accessible socio-economic resources to the City in the creation of
livelihood projects that will transform beneficiaries into self reliant,
progressive and values oriented entrepreneurs in order to contribute to
the economic development of the City.
The TLDC shall be
self-liquidating. Training courses to be conducted by skilled TLRC
personnel shall be charged affordable fees. While reading
materials/references and video/cd courses shall be sold at a minimal
cost.
The Technology and
Livelihood Resource Center thru its Program for Countryside Economic
Empowerment and development(PROCEED) shall bring to the people of Iriga
its expertise and resources in Livelihood and entrepreneurship
development thru partnership with the City Government.
