Iriga City’s 5.128-km circumferential road project that is proposed
by the city government to pass through five barangays and serve as
a diversion route for vehicles bound for Manila and vice-versa is
being endorsed by the RDC5 for funding through the Department of
Agriculture’s Farm-to-Market Road Program.
NEDA5 ARD Luis Banua said that the project cost is estimated at
P184.9 M for a concrete road but the proponent was amenable to
revise the project cost to conform to the standard cost for a local
or barangay road.
The
Infrastructure Development Committee recommended the DA’s
Farm-to-Market Road Program as funding source following its review
of the proposal.
